Scenario

A 62-year-old patient suddenly collapses in the waiting area. They are unresponsive and not breathing normally. You are the dental nurse assisting the clinician.

Your Task

  • Identify cardiac arrest
  • Initiate immediate CPR
  • Ensure help is called and emergency services contacted
  • Use the AED as soon as it becomes available
  • Continue resuscitation until help arrives
