A 46-year-old diabetic patient becomes sweaty, confused, and shaky during a long dental procedure.

- Initiate immediate management using GTN
- Position the patient appropriately
- Monitor response to treatment

- Angina is caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, leading to chest pain
- Sit the patient upright to reduce cardiac workload and improve comfort
- Administer GTN spray as first-line treatment
- GTN can be repeated every 5 minutes up to a maximum of 3 doses
- If pain does not resolve after GTN, treat as suspected myocardial infarction and call 999 immediately
